Following on from request from our clients GoRoots are now offering a Straw Mulching service.

When the Summer has been a very dry one and many seeding installations have failed to get going, what can be done?

Strraw Mulching has for a long time been used as an option to improve soil conditions as well as offering protection from both the extremes of Heat and Cold.

This is how it works: Straw bales are fed in to a specially designed machine that uses chains to break it up and blow it out through a nozzle or a large diameter hose.

The Straw is sprayed over already seeded site this forms a covering that enables the seeds to germinate more rapidly and protects them from the variations in weather.

A recommended rate for Straw Mulching would be 1 bale to cover 100m2.

GoRoots have now purchased an industrial straw blower that can process 3 bales of straw/min.The largest in the UK at present to offer a commercial service to landscapers and contractors on their projects.

As with all our services our plant comes with an operator and all materials in order to complete the job.
