Goroots have been operating the Terravent machine since its invention we have an unparalleled experience over a wide variety of different sites From ancient trees though construction sites to woodlands.
The Terravent was developed by Pinnacle Concepts in conjunction with Kew Gardens and Myerscough College The brief was to produce a hand held machine that would both decompact soils and inject beneficial mychorrizal fungi spores in one operation. After many years development the Terravent was produced combining High Pressure Nitrogen gas for the decompaction blast and a low volume pump to inject the solution of Mychorizial Fungi and Bio stimulants. How does the Terravent work? o Using the integrated hammer a 22mm diameter hollow spike is driven in to the ground to a depth of 600mmo Nitrogen gas is introduced into the small tank in the Terravent head, up to 60bar (900psi). o Nitrogen gas is then dumped via a series of cross drilled holes in the spike causing the soil to be loosened o For trees the area treated is from the trunk to the drip line.
The Terravent alleviates compacted soils allowing plant and tree's roots to breathe and grow as they should. The Inoculation with Mychorrizial Fungi products helps recreate the sub soil conditions that prevailed when the trees were healthy.
On Lawns, Flowerbeds and waterlogged soils the Terravent creates voids so that any water can flow into these new channels and drain away. To hire or discuss the terravent with the experts please call David Dowding on 020 8429 8049 or email here.
